Every learning or consulting project begins in a different place. These starting prices offer a practical sense of budget before we discuss the audience, scope, timeline and level of support you need.
Benchmark-informed value
MKB's rates are informed by Canadian market references and recent service-pricing research. They are designed to remain accessible while reflecting the preparation, professional judgment and care required to deliver useful learning and consulting support. The government and public-sector consulting rate is positioned separately from learning and academic support rates.
Market rates vary by institution, geography, qualifications, scope and employment model. MKB reviews its pricing periodically and confirms the applicable rate or project fee in writing before work begins.Ways to work together

What shapes the final quote
Two projects with a similar title can require very different levels of planning, development and review. These are the main factors we discuss before confirming a fee.

Planning notes
Starting prices and hourly ranges are planning guides only. They are not fixed quotes or offers and may change as project requirements are clarified.
Government and public-sector consulting is billed at CAD $200 per hour for defined advisory and project-support work. The scope, expected hours and billing arrangements are confirmed in writing before paid work begins.
Longer-term, recurring or multi-phase consulting engagements may use a written project or retainer price after the duration, level of effort, deliverables, responsibilities and review requirements are confirmed. Any alternate pricing structure is agreed in writing.
Package prices apply to the defined starter scope shown above. Larger engagements are priced using the relevant hourly rate or a written project fee based on the expected work, complexity and review requirements.
The limited-time workshop and facilitation price is subject to availability and the agreed starter scope. Conference and event planning begins at CAD $1,499 for the virtual full package and CAD $3,999 for the in-person full package. Final fees vary with event size, location, duration, logistics and coordination requirements.
Final pricing is confirmed in writing after the scope, deliverables, schedule, client responsibilities and review process are discussed. Work requested outside the approved scope may require a revised estimate or change agreement.
Applicable taxes, travel, printing, translation, paid software, licences, hosting, domains, stock assets and other third-party costs are additional unless the written quote specifically includes them.
MKB is based in Ontario and works remotely across Canada and with global clients. Quotes and invoices are issued in Canadian dollars (CAD). Currency conversion, international transfer fees and any location-specific obligations remain the client's responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Start with the need
Short consulting assignments use the published hourly rate. For a longer or recurring engagement, share the expected duration, level of effort and deliverables so we can discuss a written project or retainer arrangement.
